      We are having our first ride of 2009 at Pumpkin Patch Campgrounds.  Our reasons are many for having our first ride of 2009 at Pumpkin Patch!  The travel is easy from Memphis, Nashville, Birmingham, Atlanta, and Montgomery.  The Pumpkin Patch is just off I-65, just 40 minutes North of Birmingham.  The campground has nice shaded and un-shaded spots with water and electric, covered and uncovered stalls, kitchen, 2 cabins, 2 lakes with fishing available, very nice shower houses, big pavilion, and unlimited primitive camping.  The riding at the Pumpkin Patch is very beautiful with rolling hills, streams, hardwood forest, canyons, waterfalls, and a very beautiful farm where we will be having our lunch served on the trail on Saturday.  Also Rickey and his family work very hard to make our stay with them very wonderful.  Also, we are going to have an auction on Saturday for the abused women and children of Jasper.  If you would like to donate anything to the auction just bring it with you!  This money will go directly to these women and children.  The Beacon is a safe place for women and children of Jasper.  With your ride fee we will provide you with 2 meals, 2 fun dances, bingo, 4 guided rides, church on Sunday, awards, saddle give away, hat, t-shirts and much more!  We will have concessions available the whole ride at reasonable prices or you can buy a meal ticket for $30.00 that provides you with 8 meals.  So if you can , please attend our first ride of 2009.  For more info. or to make reservations, please call Kenney at (256390-6366 or send deposits to Kenney Gladden, P.O. Box 1373, Phila., MS 39350.  A $25.00 deposit is required to hold you an electric site or you can attend without a deposit but to guarantee an electric site or cabin you must have a deposit.

 From Jasper: Hwy 78, turn North on Hwy 69.  Go 7 miles (mile marker 214), turn left onto Burrows Crossing Road.  Go 1 mile, turn left onto Forrester Road.  Go 1.6 miles, turn left onto Farm Road at Faye Whittemore Farms sign and follow Farm Road to a red barn.

From I-65 (near Cullman) exit #299:  Turn South on Hwy. 69 (toward Jasper), go 22 miles and turn right onto Burrows Crossing Road.  Go 1 mile, turn left onto Forrester Rd.  Go 1.6 miles, turn left at Faye Farm Rd. at Whittemore Farms sign and follow Farm Road to a red barn.
